De Vere Latimer Estate

We stayed overnight at The Latimer and were extremely pleased with our experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted at reception by Chris, who went above and beyond to accommodate our group by arranging three rooms for us, despite only having two booked. His professionalism and willingness to help made a great first impression. The following morning, the breakfast was fantastic — excellent quality and service. The only downside to our stay was during our visit to the spa. We encountered an older gentleman (maybe a spa member) who did not seem to understand that one member of our group has additional needs. A little more patience, kindness, and consideration would have made the experience more enjoyable for everyone, and not shouting at us! But this is not a reflection of the hotel & stay. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated the hospitality of the team, especially Chris at reception. We hope to return in the future.

A lovely hotel with beautiful surroundings. The staff were very welcoming, we were a little early but was given a room straight away. The room was cosy, clean and had a small outside area overlooking fields. The food and drink were a little expensive but its a hotel, so it was not unexpected. Hubby was not keen on the black burger bun but other than that it was nice. Breakfast was lovely, a range of foid to choose from. It was quiet, other han the odd child running up and down the corridor, it did not last long. There is free parking outside. We slept peacefully. We would stay here again.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, it feels more like a 4/5 star! Breakfast was one of the best we've had, and the scrambled eggs are out of this world. Great prices as well, we'll definitely return.

We had the most amazing stay at De Vere Latimer! We booked through Holidays Extra as we were heading to Harry Potter World for my boyfriend’s 21st birthday, and it truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, all the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We also had dinner at the restaurant, and to our surprise, they sang Happy Birthday to my boyfriend without us even asking – such a thoughtful touch that made the evening extra special. A special mention to Sarah, our waitress, who was absolutely lovely and made our dinner experience even more enjoyable. The breakfast the next morning was also fantastic, with a great selection and everything cooked to perfection. Honestly, we couldn’t have had a more lovely time. The whole experience was so memorable, and we’re already looking forward to our next stay. Highly recommend! Thank you to everyone at De Vere Latimer for making my boyfriend’s birthday celebration unforgettable!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank Chris for the incredible service he gave me over the phone while booking my hotel. From the start, he was polite, friendly, and genuinely cared about getting everything right. It’s my anniversary, and not only did he sort out a smooth booking, but he personally upgraded my room and even arranged for roses to be set up before our arrival — that extra effort honestly meant a lot. You can tell when someone takes pride in their work, and Chris truly went above and beyond to make the experience special before I’ve even stepped foot in the hotel. If every company had a Chris, customer service would be on another level. Massive thanks again — he definitely deserves recognition (and a bonus!) for the way he treats guests.

Really nice place especially for the price. The rooms are slightly dated and could do with a refurbishment but the beds are comfortable and it was clean. The bar is slightly expensive but to be fair for a hotel I found the price okay. Dinner was incredibly delicious. Service was slightly slow as it seems the hotel is ran quite low on staff. Overall excellent

An old mansion converted into a hotel. It has facilities for business meetings. We were 40 people and needed different rooms for a week of meetings, and the facilities were ok. Some rooms had no window. It is conveniently located approx 30min from Heathrow, so when flying people feom around the world, it was ok. The food is not impressive. Some dishes are way too small, sone not fresh (sat on the cou ter for a while), and overall very bland. Breakfast is English, every day. The staff is nice and helpful, but they are understaffed, so expect slow bar, no laundry service, no room service. The rooms are small, some are very dark. Nevertheless, one sleeps quite well. The park is pretty to walk around in. Not really child friendly. Expect lots of stairs and going up and down a hill a lot.

Stayed here recently at a conference. The staff are very accommodating and the service was amazing. The estate itself is vast and in beautiful surroundings. My room in particular was very tired and had creaking floorboards and was very dark and dingy and super small however others in the party had lovely rooms so they are clearly in the process of modernisation. The food was ok; not the best choices and this was felt across our party. We will be back but please improve the food!
